Cooking Made Simple

I always had a flare for cooking and now since my hubby dear is a perfect foodie my skills are improving. I have always be lived that cooking is all about experiments all you need to have is a virtual taste and rest is taken care my your hands and have learnt it from my dad who is an excellent experimental cook. I have been trying various stuffs and here I am mentioning some that came out really well. Hope you enjoy it .

Bread Uttapam-cooking time-10 min

You shall need:

Semolina (Rava)-(250 gms)
Curd-(2-3 cups)
Green chillies-2-3
salt-to taste
turmeric-1 pinch
Butter
Coriander leaves

Procedure:



  • Mix Semolina (rava)and curd to make a paste (not very thick and not very thin either) ,add green chillies salt turmeric ,coriander leaves and mix well
  • Heat a bread on low flame and place the mixture over the bread evenly ,once the lower portion becomes crisp turn over the bread so that the mixture also gets cooked.(Toast using butter).
  • Once both the sides are cooked serve it in a dish along with tomato sauce.o

Kachoris (Yellow Moong dal) Cooking time:20 min

  • You shall need:
  • Maida:250gms
  • Yellow Moong dal:150 gms
  • Red chilli power:1 tsp
  • Fenil :1 tsp
  • Ajwain:1 tsp

Procedure:

  • The yellow moong dal are to be soaked for a about half an hour.Later they are coarsely grinded into a form of paste.
  • In a pan take some oil and add fenil seeds to it once they sputter and the paste and fry for about 5 min. the filler it ready
  • Maida to be made in to a dough by adding butter salt ajwain and water and kept aside for 10 min
  • Using the dough make small balls and fill the the yellow moon dal stuffing and make them in a form of puri (puri's to slightly thick)
  • Fry them and serve hot!!!!
